In this blog, articles by their contemporaries as well as by admirers of their art have been assembled from the foreign press and the internet. They are an attempt to become acquainted with the main life features of both conductors, and with their unique mastership of conducting in rehearsal and in concert. Several points of view are presented in this blog - English, German, Italian and Spanish. Each presents the Kleibers in a different perspective.
Note, that little is known about the Kleiber’s family – not much has been written -- and in my country Bulgaria nothing has been published to my knowledge. I do believe their art might serve and should serve as a wonderful example to everyone devoted to conducting.
The symphonic, opera and operetta performances, that sounded magnificently under their baton, which we can hear and observe in some few of their recordings, assure us more and more, that we should more often listen to and speak, and write about such titans in the global musical culture. Their mastership may thus enrich and inspire the upcoming generations of conductors and admirers of their musical art. This best expresses the sincere intent of the author and compiler of the blog "Kleiber"s Era".
